Wallington was established in 1992 with the planting of Cabernet
Sauvignon, followed by Chardonnay, Shiraz, Pinot Noir,
Cabernet Franc, Semillon, Grenache, Mourvedre, Tempranillo, Petit
Verdot and Viognier , a total of 18ha.The vines are grown with
minimal irrigation to ensure small intensely flavoured berries.Only
20 tonnes of grapes are hand picked for the Wallington label.
Winemaking style is very traditional and labour intensive and
takes place in the impressive STRAW BALE winery . Grapes are
crushed then fermented in open vats and basket pressed to age in a
variety of French and American oak barrels. We love blending to
create interesting wines, typical of the styles of France and
Spain. Come and experience a working winery. (click
