rich in traditional healers, orators and storytellers, highly
respected throughout Africa. Valanga began working with
singer and songwriter Andrea Khoza 12 years ago. She is a

Rob Shannon & Veren Gregorov Appear in a new incarnation
as “2 Swing” Both members also play together in the
sensational world music act ‘Arabesk’. Their music has a life
of
it’s own, highly original, but somehow it seems so familiar, as
it draws upon rich, deep cultural veins, from the tradition of
Django and Stephane to strong classical elements, also hints
of India and the Middle East. 2 swing have played regularly in
and around Sydney at the Basement, Soup Plus, The Vanguard,
The Opera Bar, Sydney Town Hall.
Frencham Smith Comprizing & Liz Frencham and Fred Smith are
one of Australia’s favourite acoustic acts. “Not Just bonza, double
bonza, 10 out of 10 with a koala stamp...go and see Frencham Smith
or I’ll slash your tyres.” Philip Adams,Late Night Live, Radio
National. The documentary film Bougainville Sky was released in
2005 about Fred’s work in the Pacific. At the time Fred was in the
States. Fred returned to Australia to tour with Liz behind their
second album Lovethongs which was released in April 2007 Lovethongs
— love on a dry continent — is a collection of love songs with an
Australian flavour. The award winning Bagarap Empires CD
(pronounced Buggerup) won the ScreenSound Australia award for Best
New Release of 2002 and caused the Age critic Warwick McFadyen to
write: “Once
in a blue moon, a drift of music so unlike any other enfolds your
sensibilities and reaffirms the power of song”.
Embracing her double bass like a lover, Liz invites you along a
journey through a luminous emotional landscape, reassuring you with
a warm, generous voice and a smile which has become her trademark.
Her latest release “You & Me, Vol.1” is an album of live duets
with many well known performers (including the likes of Doug
DeVries, Mic Conway, Carl Pannuzzo & Shannon Barnett) and has
earnt a rave review from QLD ABC radio personality Sandy Mc
Cutcheon.
"Mic Conway with Robbie Long"
Stripped back, irreverent and shameless, Mic Conway takes the stage
with Robbie Long playing unusual and idiosyncratic tunes that will
make your jaw drop, toes tap and sides split. In a circus of
comedy, music and magic they will delight audiences with something
new, something old and something in between. Material includes
"Captain Matchbox" and "National Junk Band" favourites and songs
close to Mic's heart, peppered with his "Circus Oz" antics. Robbie
Long is the guitarist of choice for many festival favourites and is
the current Australian Flat Pick Guitar Champion with a wicked
sense of humour. Mic and Robbie with give your their Blues while
taking yours away!
