Sat. 7pm March 31st. Harpist Jenni Sawell

“Jenni is a Sydney based harpist who plays a beautiful Celtic harp made40th-anniversary-Museum-170.jpg for her by one of Australia’s most respected Luthiers, Brandden Lassells. Jenni comes to taste March 31st. at 7pm.
Jenni has recently begun to play with the Seltic Sirens - www.TheSelticSirens.com  - a well known Celtic group playing in the Sydney area. The Seltic Sirens were recipients of a MO award in 2011 for best new talent. She also plays for weddings and events that range from Sydney University’s 2011 Medieval Christmas Party to funerals, garden parties, charity dinners and more.
Jenni not only plays but writes music for the harp and has successfully performed new music for the Sydney Harp Eisteddfod and at several churches around Sydney. Her first CD is due to be  released at the end of 2011.
Jenni has an interest in the growing use of the harp for therapy and regularly plays at hospitals and nursing homes. She is also a teacher, with students ranging from 24 to 71 years of age!
So whether your interest is classic Celtic tunes played beautifully on the instrument they were written for, or anything from traditional church music to interpretations of music written by  Metallica, we believe that you will hear music that brings back memories of times past as well as more modern music that will lift your spirits.
