Sat. Oct. 23rd Poetry with Noel Cislowski

Up the empire - nostalgic, Witty, Patriotic. An absolutely delightful evening's entertainment of song and verse from Mother England and her colonies brought to you by Noel Cislowski, outstanding interpreter of Victoriana and much loved Australian verse, together with John Martin internationally acclaimed accompanist. 

Noel is one of Australia’s foremost performers of Australian Bush Ballads and the works of CJ Dennis and recently was awarded a Fellowship from the AMEB for his performances. He also holds AMEB and Trinity College (London) diplomas in Speech and Drama as well as in Singing and has performed works with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and the Festival Symphony Orchestra. He has performednoel-cislowski 2.jpg leading roles on stage and in musical Comedy in Brisbane and Sydney. Noel has for many years been a teacher of speech and drama, a lecturer in music and drama at several universities and colleges in NSW, an adjudicator and examiner in music and speech and drama.
As a relief from literary and performance pursuits Noel has been a premiership Rugby League referee and a keen sailor. He is an active Rotarian and is Past President and a Paul Harris Fellow with Chatswood Rotary.  
His program will include some Victorian poems that connect with examples of early colonial poetry.

Noel's performance will be Accompanied by free winetasting a 3 course and coffee. Cost for the evening will be $65. Noel's fee will be donated to Canteen, book on line or phone and give your credit card details.
